The Poly Plantronics MDA524 QD, USB-C, WW (212174-01) is a smart audio processor which allows Customer Service Representatives to take calls on desk phones or softphones (PC or Mac) seamlessly. With this device, you can use One headset for desk phone and PC calls or applications. It supports Plantronics 4-pin Quick Disconnect (QD) Headsets, Plantronics digital QD headsets and Y-training cables. MDA524 QD connects to a computer by using USB-C Cable. The Plantronics Quick Disconnect (QD) interface allows CSRs to move from one system and quickly connect to another for a seamless workflow. Desk phone compatibility with electronic hook switch (EHS) integration is available separately. EHS makes connecting to and switching between call sources easy. Calls are clearer with echo and noise cancellation, Noise at Work, Anti-Startle and G616 compliance that reduces strain on agents and allows customers to hear and be heard. The customer experience is further enhanced with advanced audio channel mixing that includes agent greeting, call recording, voice notes, and streaming audio, all configurable in Plantronics Hub software. The user then switches between audio sources using the intuitive buttons like volume, mute, and call control.

The MDA524 QD features SoundGuard® Digital hearing protection which protects against sound levels above 118dBA. G616 Anti-startle during calls detects and eliminates any large sudden increase in signal level. Time-Weighted Average prevents average daily noise exposure from exceeding 85 dBA which is enabled by Plantronics Hub. This device is supported by Plantronics Manager Pro, a Software-as-a-Service that is sold separately.
