Sennheiser Expands Its Tourguide Portfolio with SL Interpreter Console

Sennheiser introduces the SL Interpreter Console, expanding the company’s Tourguide Portfolio. Offering a complete solution in the management and control of channels for language interpretation, the new SL Interpreter Console is a simultaneous interpreting self-contained unit, capable of bringing together all of an interpreting console’s key functions. Ensuring simple installation and user-friendly management, this solution is combined to the following:

• Rack-mount SR 2020 Tourguide transmitter
• Tourguide receivers for the audience

The digital Tourguide 2020 receivers are available both in stethoset and bodypack versions. And when the receiver is integrated with the SL interpreter, it makes it easier to install and operate. In fact, this combination is considered ideal especially for ensuring optimum speech intelligibility for demanding applications and heavy RF traffic environments.

The new Sennheiser SL Interpreter console is a flexible solution capable of handling both floor and relay language. In fact, if more than two languages will be needed for the interpretation, up to four consoles can be pooled for simultaneous interpretation. Some of the controls of the console are the following:

• Bass
• Microphone “cough”/mute button
• Mute function
• Treble
• Volume

The solution could also be quickly and easily set up since it would only require a headset (or a pair of headphones or microphone) for the language interpreting solution to work.
