National Geographic and a team of photographers explore the infinite cave, Son Doong, with Sennheiser to aid them in every recording. After more than a decade, Son Doong was now explored with 360° photos and with Sennheiser to help its sound recordings. 

The world is full of undiscovered mysteries which are yet to be unveiled. Son Doong was one of those. And Sennheiser was in the front seat of this amazing discovery.

Aided with Sennheiser, National Geographic and journalist Martin Edström covered the untouched mystery through 360° photos and recorded sounds. This “infinite cave” was discovered in the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in Vietnam. Despite being discovered in 1991 by a native, it took him almost 2 decades to rediscover it help a team to explored one of the world’s biggest caves. Used by the team were the following Sennheiser products:

  • SPM 8000 stereo microphone
  • MKH 8060 short gun microphone
  • MKH 8070 long gun microphone
