Eric Rossman, Avaya Developer Relations Vice President, believes that the customers are now looking for better solutions, which will help them catch up with work environments dominated my multi-device setups, and brought by the rapid movement from periphery to Unified Communication’s core. Furthermore, he said, “We are pleased to present this award to Plantronics for developing a solution that opens up new possibilities in the collaboration space.”
Plantronics Global Channel and Alliance Marketing Vice President, Erna Arsen, believes that Plantronics and Avaya was able to produce the solution that people need in order to work seamlessly between mobile and desktop environment. “As the work environment has become centered around what we do rather than where we are, it is important that our technology enable that.” said Arsen.

With Plantronics’ proximity features in its headset and the Avaya Aura Collaboration environment, a seamless audio and video collaboration between desktop and mobile environments is evident. The entire team up works in a way that when someone using Plantronics headset comes close to a specific desktop installed with Aura Collaboration Environment, an option will appear where the user will have the choice to switch to an enhanced feature, together with file sharing and video, from a voice-only option.
