AT&T Developer Summit and Hackathon 2015: Plantronics Showcasing WebRTC and Wearables’ Power

Plantronics is invited to perform a demo for the AT&T Developer Summit and Hackaton 2015 to be held in Las Vegas Nevada on January 3 to 5, 2015. Company EVP at Plantronics, Joe Burton, is to deliver the demo on Keynote Address.
Plantronics, together with PLT Labs, is said to demonstrate the latest wearable technology innovations and WebRTC. Internal innovations group of Plantronics, PLT Labs, will specifically showcase the technology and will be the front of the show. The goal of the entire showcase is to challenge developers to produce new applications using Wearable Concept 1 (WC1), a prototype wearable device of Plantronics.
There will be three events where the company will be promoting their leading wearable technology. The first event is at the AT&T Developer Summit Hackathon at RAIN Nightclub, Palms Casino Resort on January 3 to 4, 2015 from 8 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon. PLT Labs will be leading the event, where qualified teams will be provided with Wearable Concept 1, which what the teams will be using to produce a unique application that uses multiple sensors contextual information. At the same time, the company will also giveaway products throughout the Hackathon event.
With free-fall detection and tap directions features, Wearable Concept 1 uses an open APIs, which helps developers control the entire system of MFI chip for better incorporation of the iOS platform on Bluetooth and the Windows OS. This wearable technology is also equipped with nine-axes sensor, which is low-latency and can track head orientation in all heading, roll and pitch dimensions- the X, Y and Z axes.
The event that will follow will be on January 5, 2015 from 9 to 10:30 in the morning at Pearl Theater, Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Joe Burton, Plantronics CTO, will give a demo on the AT&T Developer Summit Keynote.
And the last event will be on the same day from 11 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon at the Grand Ballroom of Palms Casino Resort. PLT Labs will be stationed in the booth #15 at AT&T Developer Summit Expo. Wearable Concept 1 (WC1) will be seen in action in this booth. Different new applications and demos will be showcased, as well as the WebRTC integration.
