The company’s commitment to the continuous development and innovation of Unified Communications, as well as its aim to contribute to the portfolio of the industry’s hands-free devices, drives this need to be a gold sponsor.

Study on Unified Communications by Jabra and Frost & Sullivan

Jabra, together with Frost & Sullivan, conducted a study last June 2012, which focuses on Unified Communications. Both companies gathered IT managers, who have integrated UC in the operations of their organizations, and surveyed them all, from several parts of the world, including:

  • Australia
  • France
  • Great Britain
  • Germany
  • Japan
  • U.S.

And according to the said study, mobile workers play an important role in the implementations of the UC solutions. 70% of the respondents believe that these workers are the first users of UC tools and so would influence its use in the industry, in general. Additionally, 60% of the organizations confirm that one of the factors which helps UC adoption is the use of headsets. In addition to this, the use of the appropriate audio device can help in improving the experience of users, when it comes to communications tools.

Most of the organizations involved in the study believes that the employees’ productivity will improve upon the use of Unified Communications, wherever they may be located. In addition to this, the study was also able to learn the importance of home teleworking and its ability to better the work and life balance of employees, which can lead to retention.

The entire results will be made available in installments in the remainder of year 2012.

Jabra’s Take on Unified Communications and What It Offers

It cannot be denied that Jabra aims to contribute to the hands-free devices portfolio of the industry, as well as to help in the efforts towards Unified Communications. With these in mind, Jabra has SUPREME UC and UC VOICE 750 as parts of their Unified Communications portfolio. Both will be showcased at the Worldwide Partner Conference.

Considered as the very first non-stereo headset to ever be integrated with ANC or Active Noise Cancellation, Jabra SUPREME UC works with mobile phones’ traditional calls and also with other collaborating and communicating tools through mobile devices, like tablets. Other applications that work well with this headset are Skype and Microsoft Lync. Using a nano and pre-paired Bluetooth® USB adapter, SUPREME UC is able to connect smoothly to PC and mobile phones. And staying connected to two devices is also possible without the difficulty of switching between the two devices for calls.

A UC headset which is corded, Jabra UC VOICE™ 750 makes employees’ lives easier with its lightweight design for all day comfort. Since it is optimized for Microsoft Lync use, it is easy to plug in and use. It comes in two colors and with its own travel pouch, making it both personal and portable.

Jabra will be at the WPC in Toronto from July 8, 2012 to July 12, 2012. Jabra’s UC products as they are optimized for the use of Microsoft Lync will be showcased at booth #1437. The entire showcase will emphasize on UC products for contact centers, office, home/virtual segment, and mobile worker.
