2015 is Sennheiser’s 70th anniversary in the industry as an audio specialist. Setting new standards in terms of audio technology, Sennheiser was able to stick its reputation with:

The History of the Sennheiser Company
Founded as Laboratorium Wennebostel or “Labor Q” in June 1, 1945 as a company producing tube volt meters, Sennheiser was founded by Prof. Dr. Fritz Sennheiser, electric engineer by profession, in Wennebostel, Germany. The founder always had higher vision about the company, which is the factor that pushed it forward and expand throughout the years. A short timeline from the past includes:
1947: the company launched its first microphone developed in-house
1956: first “shotgun” microphone
1957: the company was already producing 100 different types of products
1958: Labor W was renamed Sennheiser Electronic- the inception of a brand
