In order for Sennheiser to understand what athletic and sporty people need, the company made custom-built research studies, in partnership with leading universities, focusing on the effects of extreme sports movements on a headphone’s sound and fit. SPORTS Headphones Range’ Features and Capabilities

Featuring open acoustics, both MX 686 SPORTS and PMX 686 SPORTS can increase the user’s awareness of external sounds, which is best for outdoor activities like running. On the other hand, both CX 686 SPORTS and OCX 686 SPORTS, with closed ear-canal designs, are capable of shielding out noises from the environment, which made them best to be used for indoor activities like working out in gyms. MX 686 SPORTS

• features a classic earphone design
• ensures secure fit by allowing customization through Sennheiser’s slide-to-fit ear-adapter (similar with CX 686 SPORTS)

PMX 686 SPORTS

• provides addition security with the use of a headband
• features an in-ear vertical design that ensures open acoustic to increase awareness of the environment

And finally, OCX 686 SPORTS has a flexible ear-hook securing mechanism which:
