2011 Mobile World Congress: Jabra Announces New Hands-free Bluetooth Range Products

At the 2011 Mobile World Congress, the audio expert Jabra introduced the company’s new VoIP-optimized headsets for the very first time. The headsets, which will be showcased in the event, are the Jabra STONE2 Bluetooth headset and the Jabra FREEWAY. While the FREEWAY is capable of transforming the entire speakerphone market, the STONE2 is more famous for its high quality functionality and advanced design. These new plug-and-play VoIP-optimized headsets new portfolio was showcased at the 2011 Mobile World Congress at Jabra’s stand, #2E30, Hall 2.

Considered as the Bluetooth headset to bring the entire industry forward and upward, the Jabra STONE2 is a combination of a lot of factors that leads to it being the ideal device for people who are always on the move. Its innovative design includes several audio features like the new hands-free communication voice concept and a boasting voice system. The system can identify the name of the caller with the options to say “answer” or “ignore”, depending on the choice of the user. Other features include:

• Easy-to-setup Voice Guidance
• Announcement of Battery Status
• Four “comfort-tested” for All Day-fit Ear-Gels
• Wireless Portable Charger

Launched across the areas of APAC and EMEA, and in the US in the second quarter of 2011, that serves as the very first of the in-car speakerphone market in the industry, the Jabra FREEWAY has three Virtual Surround Sound speakers, which takes FREEWAY on top of the market and any competition in that field.

• Dual Microphone System: Reduces background noise
• Voice Control Functionality: Easy call controls for better road concentration
• Built-in Motion Sensor: Turns in-car speakerphone on or off automatically when car door is open or closed

Except for the Jabra STONE2 and FREEWAY, other Jabra EXTREME products were also introduced in the profile, all meant to be used for PC, including:

• Jabra EXTREME: Full range of multi-use headsets for mobile calls and VoIP calls through laptops, mobile devices, tablets and PCs
• Jabra EASYGO: connected through pre-paired USB adaptor for seamless PC connection, internet and mobile calling
• Corded Jabra CHILL: Equipped with a high-quality microphone for mobile and VoIP calls, as well as music control function for tunes
